About

Foldprint is a paper-and-ink puzzle. You stamp wet cyan, magenta and yellow ink on a sheet and fold it in half. Both halves have to match a target print. Wet ink on each half prints mirrored onto the other, and inks mix where they overlap. Every fold dries the ink, and only wet ink prints. A solver proves every par is the fewest moves possible.

On iPhone Duo you can fold the phone itself. The crease sits on the hardware fold. As the phone folds, a faint preview of the print appears. Closing the phone makes the press, and the sheet peels back on the new print when you reopen it. With the phone shut you keep playing on the outer display. You don't have to close the phone to press: the Fold button works in every pose.

Free to download. Chapter 1 and each day's Daily Print, on its day, need no purchase. Foldprint Complete, a one-time purchase, adds chapters 2 to 8, the Creator and three papers. It costs $14.99 for the first two weeks after release, then $19.99. The Pressroom Pass is an optional subscription for the weekly packs, the Daily Print archive and animated papers, at $2.99 a month or $19.99 a year with a one-week free trial. Prices are in US dollars.
Accessibility
VoiceOver reads what ink each cell still needs. Ink marks give each ink its own pattern for colour-blind players. With Reduce Motion on, the press fades instead of folding in 3D.
Privacy
Foldprint has no ads and no accounts, and it collects no data.
