Flappy VS Bats Privacy Policy
Effective date: 28 September 2026
Flappy VS Bats is a free arcade game for iPhone and iPad by Abdelrahman Ibrahim ("we"). This page explains what data the game handles. In short: there are no accounts, we do not run servers and we do not collect your personal data ourselves. The only processing by third parties is for advertising (Google AdMob), Game Center (Apple) and App Store purchases (Apple).
Data stored on your device
Your best times, coins, unlocked and equipped birds, lifetime statistics and settings are saved only on your device, in the app's local storage. If you played the 2017 version, its coins, lives and best score are read once on the device to convert them for version 2.0. None of this is uploaded by us. Deleting the app deletes this data.
The menu uses the motion sensor to let you tilt the falling bats around. The readings stay on the device and are never stored or sent.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
Players who have not bought Remove Ads see an ad at the end of each game (when the bird dies, or when a run is ended from the pause menu). Every player, with or without Remove Ads, can choose to watch a rewarded ad to double the coins from a run, to get a bigger daily gift or to try a Legend bird for one run. These ads are served by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may process:
- your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking;
- IP address, and a coarse location derived from it;
- device type, operating system version and app version;
- ad interactions, such as ads shown and tapped;
- diagnostic information such as crashes and performance of the ad SDK.
Google uses this for ad delivery, frequency capping, measurement and fraud prevention and, if you allow tracking, for personalised ads.
- On first launch, after the How to Play cards, iOS asks whether Flappy VS Bats may track you. The ad SDK is not started before you answer. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", ads are still shown but are not personalised with your advertising identifier.
- If you own Remove Ads, no ad is shown after games. The ad SDK still starts after the tracking question and loads rewarded ads, which play only if you choose one, so Google still processes the data listed above.
- Google's practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Apart from Apple's own services described below, Google is the only third party that receives data from the game. Its use of that data is bound by the Google Privacy Policy and by Google's AdMob terms with us, which protect it at least as well as this policy does. The game does not send your data to anyone else, and we do not sell it.
Game Center (Apple)
If you are signed in to Game Center, your survival times, the number of bats you blast in a run and your achievements are sent to Apple's Game Center and shown on the leaderboards under your Game Center nickname. Apple processes this data under the Apple Privacy Policy. You can sign out of Game Center in the iOS Settings app at any time; the game works the same without it.
In-app purchases (Apple)
Remove Ads, the Legends Pack and the coin packs are sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment and we never see your payment details or Apple Account. The game checks Apple's signed transaction records on your device to unlock what you bought.
Sharing your score
The Share button creates a score card image on your device and opens the iOS share sheet. Nothing is sent unless you choose where to share it.
How long data is kept, and deleting it
- Game data on your device is kept until you delete the app, which deletes it.
- We run no servers and hold no copy of any of your data, so there is nothing for us to keep or delete.
- Google keeps the advertising data it processes for the periods described in How Google retains data. You can review and delete activity linked to your Google Account at My Activity. Turning off tracking (see below) stops the game from giving Google your device's advertising identifier.
- Game Center scores and achievements are kept by Apple; see the Apple Privacy Policy for how to manage or delete them.
Children
Flappy VS Bats is a game for a general audience and is not part of the App Store's Kids category. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, and we collect none ourselves. The advertising described above is the only data processing, and it is performed by Google. If you believe a child's data has been processed through the game, contact us and we will help you reach Google.
Your choices
- Tracking: iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Turn off Flappy VS Bats there, or turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track for every app. Without tracking permission the ads in the game are not personalised with your advertising identifier.
- Personalised ads from Google: Google My Ad Center.
- No ads after games: buy Remove Ads in the game. Rewarded ads play only when you choose one.
- Game Center: sign out in iOS Settings → Game Center.
- Deleting data: uninstall the app. Game Center data is managed by Apple through your Apple Account.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
